How to Press & Care

Every order ships with a printed copy of this guide. Heat presses and surfaces vary, so start with these settings and adjust carefully as needed.

DTF Transfers (heat press)

1. Prep

  • Lint roll the garment.
  • Pre-press the blank for 5 seconds to remove moisture.

2. Press

  • Cotton & blends: 300–325°F for 12–15 seconds
  • Polyester: 280°F for 12–15 seconds
  • Canvas / totes: 325°F for 18–20 seconds, heavy pressure

3. Peel (important)

  • Instant hot peel: peel within 1–2 seconds of opening the press. Pull smoothly, flat and low.
  • Or cold peel: let the transfer cool completely to room temperature, then peel.
  • If an edge lifts, stop, lay the film back down and press 5 more seconds.

4. Finish

  • Remove the film. Cover the design with parchment or a Teflon sheet and press 5 more seconds.

5. Care

  • Wait 24 hours before washing.
  • Wash inside out in cold water. Tumble dry low or hang dry.

UV DTF Decals (no heat)

UV DTF decals are made for hard, smooth surfaces such as tumblers, cups, glass, laptops, phone cases and signs. They are not for fabric.

1. Prep the surface

  • Apply only to a clean, smooth, hard surface. Wash or degrease if needed, then dry completely.
  • For best grip, wipe the area with rubbing alcohol and let it fully dry.

2. Apply

  • Rub or squeegee the decal firmly before peeling the backing.
  • Peel off the white backing. Position carefully: the adhesive is very strong and may not reposition.
  • Press from the center outward, rubbing firmly over the entire design.

3. Peel the top film

  • Slowly peel the clear carrier film back at a low angle.
  • If any part lifts, lay the film back down, rub firmly and peel again.

4. Let it set

  • Allow 24 hours before washing or heavy handling.
  • Hand washing is recommended for drinkware. Do not microwave.
